Moving in general can be extremely stressful, but the moving day just might have to be the most difficult of all. There are many things that can possibly go wrong on this day, and it is important to be optimistic for you and your family. “Did I pack everything”, or “do we even need that” are just two things that may be going through your head, making this day even worse. Having a list of all the things you need to do in order can help so much on this day. If you have a list of all the things you need to get done, you will be able to keep track of everything and not be as scared of forgetting something.

Not only is a list of things to do on moving day important, but knowing everything that needs to be done is also important. If you know what needs to be moved, everything will go so much smoother. Knowing the movers can be helpful as well, this way you don’t have to plan a last minute plan of who is going to help move the things into the truck and out. Another helpful tip is to pack some essentials in your car. You may not know if the moving day is going to turn into a two day thing. This way if you have things in your car, you may be able to live with just those few things for a day. This makes moving day way less chaotic because you already know what you are doing for the night.

Working with movers can be annoying especially if they aren’t doing everything you want them to do. They may be taking too long, or being too rough with your things, which can not only be annoying, but maddening as well. In order to avoid these things, talk to your movers beforehand about your expectations, that way you both have a better understanding of what is about to happen. If your movers are still not listening, remember to always be patient because this job can be stressful for them as well. Treating your movers well can help you have a better experience because they will most probably be more cooperative if you are kind to them.  Staying positive for the move can be hard especially on moving day because of the many things that can go wrong. Remember that if you stay postivine the move will be so much less stressful and it can even make the experience a memorable day. At the end of the day, take your checklist and make sure you completed everything on it as not to forget anything.Checking things off your list gives you assurance that you have everything you need. Remember that this day can be stressful for everyone, and your best bet at making the day easygoing may just have to be treating everyone the same way you want to be treated.
